Icon4 HEADLIGHT ISSUE AND LED DASH

In my 02 Fx4 4x4 my drivers side headlight seems to not work once and awhile. My buddy was driving in front of me and said it was out, when i went to replace it the next day, it was working fine. Tonight i was driving and my light was out then came on as i was driving. Did this twice after having the truck and lights off, at home and then after gas station. Not sure what to do. I have new bulbs i could try, but it works most of the time? Any help would be appreciated.

I also did full swap dash lights to LEDS. and one of them(sometimes two) next to each other flicker when dimmer is on full , but when i dim them down no issue. Should i just try to bulbs? Thanks

Check the bulb socket on the headlight that is "tempormental" for any corrosion or poor contact with the bulb blades. Check the condition of the wires leading to the bulb socket for breaks or fraying. If all that looks good, use a multimeter or test probe to check for steady voltage at the bulb connector. If that is good, replace the bulb.

Not sure on the LED bulbs and the cluster. You bay want to swap the bulbs that are flickering with some in another position in the cluster to see if the problem moves, proving its the LED bulbs as the culprit; although it's a PITA to get at the cluster to do this!

What LED's did you order? And from your dimmer switch "fix" it sounds like the bulbs do not have the correct resistor. Led's draw substantially less power to operate from the sound of it those 2 bulbs cannot handle all the power they are receiving causing the flickering. Ive had a few cheap sets that did the same thing but the ones i soldered into the HVAC panel myself have been fine. Sometimes the lower quality bulbs have cheap/incorrect resistors for the application.
