Help!

I have recently purchased a 2002 Ranger that apparently has remote start. Anyone have any idea how to operate the fob as it is not readable. Thank you.

ok so there is no factory remote start for 2002 rangers, you will have a box, most likely under the dash, that is the box that receives the special signal, could i get a pic of your key fob

I don't have key fob right now. Truck in the shop for an inspection. I can send picture later in the day but as I said, it's not readable. I appreciate your time on this.

No prob, i aint got nothing else to do, i find it weird that your key fob has 4 buttons, your ranger should only have 3 ,unlock, lock, and panic. if you drove an explorer you could have a 4rth but it would be to open the rear door, so you have a mysterious button

I am thinking someone previous installed it. Not factory. I know the fob you are talking about. Basic and black. This one is silver with icons across the top. A tiny antenna too.
