Tailpipe hits leaf spring... what can I do?
Ever since I put in my shackles I noticed my tailpipe hits the overload leaf in my spring pack.
Right now I just have it wired to my spare to keep it from rubbing a hole in the pipe.
I don't want to put a turn down on my muffler, as I like the look of my Dynomax tailpipe with the stainless tip.
Any ideas?

Adam...
Are you still using the stock rear tailpipe hanger? The one that bolts to the side of the frame? If so, unbolt it and either ream the hole on the hanger or ream the hole on the frame to drop the hanger down some and in turn, the tip.
Or...what I'd probably do, is take the tailpipe off or just take a drive to a local exhaust shop and have them put a slight outward bend there at that 90 degree bend at the end. This will allow the tip to move rearward and clear the overload even under suspension droop.

I kind of like the look of the stainless tip out the side, so I want to keep it! I was thinking of doing something similar to my car though. It has twin pipes out each side just ahead of the rear wheels. It would be just on the passenger side though... I don't know if it would suit the truck or not though...
May as well post up a pic of my car again to show what I'm talking about, and I'm getting excited to get her on the road again soon!

when we put in my body lift and raised the exhaust, it ended up rubbing up against the leafsprings.couple of things you can do.
1. hack it off after the bend over the axle.
2. if you have duals we did this. first we banged in the pipe a bit to see if it would help. nope. we ended up getting som beefy pieces of metal from home depot i believe, made new hangers new mounting points that brought the exhaust inward. the only cons about this were my tips now point a little to much inward and i lost being able to put in my hitch.
its which ever you want to do, really
