Help identifying a cable

As I was trying to figure out my starting issue I noticed a cable that is rusted that I’ve seen that runs under the truck along the frame. It’s broken off under the truck and kind of resembles a spring-hard to tell much since it’s so rusted. I found where it is mounted as I was tracing my battery cables down. It’s on the driver side. Can anyone tell what it is by this photo?
thanks in advance!

Looks like a rusted out brake line

Thanks! I’ll ask about it while they’re working on my ignition problem, assume someone didn’t remove the old ones after putting in new ones.

If it's a brake line, and it disconnected, you won't have any front brakes. Check your brake fluid and see if one reservoir is empty.
