Icon5 question for all......

hello all. I have a chance to pick up a 1938 ford 1/2 truck REAL cheap but the frame is toast :( but I have access to several ford ranger 2wd frames of various years.... so you can see where this is going what would need to be done to move the 38 body to a ranger frame? I would like to build it up "modern day hot rod" but quite frankly i dont want to spend the $8500 plus brakes and other things all the "hot rod' companies want to charge. THANKS everyone for your input.

It depends on how much customizing you want to do... I'm sure there is SOME way to do it... but I dont recall anyone ever attempting it...

Good luck!

If you're not wanting to put a lot of money into it, just pass on it. That will be an expensive project.

wouldn't the fullsize body on a ranger frame create alot more body roll since there is more overhang?

More than likely... If it is even possible to place it on the frame in the first place...

You would probably have to chop the Ranger frame up pretty good... It would probably be easier to just build a frame from scratch...
