High pitch squeal from passenger side

I posted this in in the 3.0L forum, but got no help, so any input would be fantastic...

Hey guys, I have a 2008, 3.0L 2x4.

Just about an hour ago, as I pulled out of a parking lot, I heard a loud squeal coming from my passenger side. (From around the tire I think..) The brakes are new and as soon as I step on the brake the sound goes away. As I let the clutch out, the high pitched squealing starts and it's loudest when I'm driving slow. Even at moderate speeds (40-50 km/h) the squeal is pretty audible... I should probably add that when the truck is idling, there is no sound what so ever.

This just came out of nowhere, I turned out of the parking lot, drove a few blocks and then all of a sudden this horrible high pitched sound...

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Are you absolutely sure its coming from the tire area? Possibly your wheel bearing? It's not common, but sometimes they squeal when they fail.

Or possibly your water pump or a pulley going out... Good luck figuring it out, keep us updated.

Thanks for the reply.

I pulled off my tire, checked my pads, rotor, caliper and bearings and everything looked good.

As i started to spin the rotor, there was a sound, I got a light and to found a tiny rock stuck in between the rotor and backing plate. After jarring it out I checked and made sure my rotors were ok, put the tire back on and what'dya know, the sound disappeared!

Huge relief for me, my little ranger can go back to being the tank it always was!
