One of my tires on the driver's side is making a higher pitch whine while I'm driving. As soon as I apply the brakes, it stops, but as soon as I let up again it whines again. I know it's not the pads or anything because I just had the brakes replaced today after accidentally putting power steering fluid in my brake fluid.....it ate my breaks away. I'm thinking it might be a wheel bearing, but I thought they usually make a grinding noise.
As for replacement if it is a wheel bearing, what do i need? I'm assuming just a tire iron and a socket set?

Are you sure you just don't have a rock stuck somewhere. But could be a wheel bearing
There is a **** in the center of the dash that controls strange noises. The older your truck gets the further to the right you spin it
