Camper shell brake light

For the interior lights, look for the power feed in the Smart Junction Block. Should be a Black with Light Blue stripe.

Shouldn't really need to splice anything for the brake light. If you don't generally haul a trailer, later Rangers come with a factory 4 pin trailer light plug right behind the bumper. get the mating end plug and connect the brake light there.

Is there a logic circuit in the brake light wiring for the shell ?
If not you will need to separate the Brake/Turn/Tail Lights.
Easies way is to run a tap off of the Brake light switch by the brake pedal, this wire will be Brake only. There are two wire, one hot and one not, you want the one that’s not. (Test it to make sure which wire has power when the brake pedal is depressed).
The interior light can be tapped off of the Cargo Lights, the wires go under the driver’s seat then up to the lights on the rear of the cab. Tap the wire under the driver's seat and run it out the feed thru that is there too, then to the cargo light in the cap.
If you want a separate light sw for the Cap Interior light, with a sw by the Tailgate consider running a separate fused power wire from the battery or any other not tapped fuse location in the Circuit Panel, to the sw then to the light.

I messed with the wires today,..and I come to the conclusion that I'm gonna extend the cab brake light wire(lt.green) to the rear along with the dome light wire up in the headliner area...P.I.T.A.,,,the trailer light plug would have worked, except it blinked when the blinker was activated. There wasn't a single wire for the brake light on the pigtail,...

Make a hole in the grommet but just big enough to push the wire through, it should seal itself.
luck.
