How to reprogram your keyless entry remote controls

Well, I have finaly got around to getting more then one remote for my truck, and I spent a little time looking online to find out how to make them work on my truck, well I came across this and was VERY helpful, and now I have three remotes insted of one (helpful since I not had key locks in my doors in like three years lol)

I found this on http://www.fordf150.net/howto/reprogramremotes.php

It is necessary to have ALL (maximum of four-original and/or new) of your remote transmitters available prior to beginning this procedure

To program the transmitters yourself:

Insert a key in the ignition and turn from 3(Off) to 4(On) eight times in rapid succession (within 10 seconds) with the eighth turn ending in the 4(On) position.
The doors will lock/unlock to confirm that programming mode has been entered.
Within 20 seconds, program a remote transmitter by pressing any button on a transmitter. The doors will lock/unlock to confirm that the remote transmitter has been programmed. (If more than 20 seconds pass before pressing a remote transmitter button, the programming mode will exit and the procedure will have to be repeated.)
Repeat the previous step to program additional remote transmitters. The doors will lock/unlock to confirm that each remote transmitter has been programmed.
When you have completed programming the remote transmitters, turn th ignition to 3(Off) or wait 20 seconds. Again the doors will lock/unlock to confirm programming has been completed.
That's it!

Dunno if this helps anyone, or if I am the only one who did NOT know this lol but there it is

Good find. This procedure is also in your owner's manual.

The dealership wanted $65 for the keyless entry control fob..... I went online to eBay and picked up a new control fob with the exact Ford part number for $7 plus $5 shipping.....
The online company even provided me with instructions on how to program the control fob.
How does the dealerships get a way with charging such prices....
Yeah... I know... because they can !!!!

You know how it works. The market price of anything is what people (at least some of them) are willing to pay. If there were no customers at $65, there would be no RKE fobs sold at $65. Perhaps that price included programming - but, then again, maybe not!

I hate most car dealers.
