i turn my headlights on and off goes my radio

i just started this morning on my way to work, i heard a fuse pop and my radio shut off and my head lights died, the radio came back on after i turned off the headlights. after i replaced the fuse, if i turn on the lights the radio shuts off and turns back on. it has an after-market kenwood radio that got put in by ABC warehouse the day before i bought it a few months ago. any ideas where to start?

remove the radio, make sure there are no extra wires from the harness adapter left open on the ends,it sounds like the dimmer wires are touching ground,or they have worn through and are touching ground

best of luck

another thing i have found that if you check wires with an ohm meter that the park light circuit will show as "0" ohms, check it with a test light with the park lights on

found out the problem a few weeks back. supervisor told me to go check the tail light bulbs and the blinker bulbs, front drivers side blinker wire was rubbed through and touching the frame.
