Idle RPM for 98 Ranger?

What is it supposed to be? Mine seems to run a bit low, and everything vibrates which makes me think the wire ordering is wrong.

I think mine sits about 875.

Might want to check some vacuum lines. When I got mine a few years back, the dpfe vac lines were rotten. Idle was low and a significant lag/delay when I mash the gas.

There isn't much (if any) delay on the gas. Although I find it a bit strange when everything shakes. If you give it the slightest of gas just to bring it to about 1000 everything is very very smooth.
