Idle sticking @ high RPM Sometimes
Idle sticking @ high RPM Sometimes
I have a '98 Ranger w/ a 3.0 and when I punch in the clutch to slow for a stop light or something the RPM's stay super high. Sometimes I can shift it to first while at a stoplite and drag the clutch to slow down the motor and it will stay @ normal Idle but sometimes it still raises back-up to ROAR . Is this the ICM causing this.... need to figure it out cause sometimes it makes it a pain in the bottom to roll through town and slowdown with it in gear.
when i push in the clutch on my 94, the rpms rise.
for 3 years now, i have not been able to fix the problem.....and i put a new iac valve on it.
oh well, getting rid of truck this coming spring/summer and getting my 01-03 tundra.
time to move on.
