PVC/ RPM high idle issues

Hey Bros I just did a oil change/k&n filter change and pcv valve change which is located on the drivers side rear of the intake, after changing it, I notice that my idle at rest or stop revs a little higher than before, It used to idle right below the #1 on the tac, and now it idles just under the 1-line notch over #1 on the tac, hope im making sice.

dont get me wrong, its seems to not hesitate and seems to run good, but wondering if thats how it should run and the old pvc was just too old and the new one made a world of difference, thanks

I would recheck the pcv for leaks look for dry rot, cracks anything that will compromise a good seal also check any other vacuum lines near where you were working you may have disturbed them while changing the pcv.

Check this out Engine Vacuum Leaks

you are absolutely correct sir, I actually still got a very high rpm, and notice my gas milege suffering quite badly, so something told me to go back to Auto Zone and ask them to get another pvc, after looking at it, i notice that their are an extra inlet on the plastic tips, i forgot to plug it, when i did plug it, all was good. but yes you are spot on, thanks
