Ignition cylinder installation

So after some local pharmaceutical users decided to Barrow my 1996 xl 2.3l 2wd Ranger, I guess it's good they couldn't drive 5sp manual 🤣🤣🤣. I fixed most of it but I can't figure out how to put these part's in to the steering column so I can install a new lock cylinder and key and finish it. Any info would be appreciated

Gear goes in first then metal plate then plastic plate..............but, they need to be put in correctly, i.e. lined up

When the key turns the gear, the gear slides the actuator rod, the actuator rod unlocks steering wheel AND slides ignition switch(under steering column) into its 4 positions

Picture here of pieces installed: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...always-161257/

And this article has lots of pictures: https://www.fordf150.net/articles/id...9703-F150.html

For sure REGREASE that gear, once you find its proper alignment, and hopefully thieves didn't F'up the actuator rods teeth, its a pain to replace, as seen in above article
