Does anyone know if a 2.3 liter fuel injected lower intake manifold utilizes water jackets for cooling. I just replaced the ignition module I had a no spark condition and with the key on I checked the module pin #1-12v to grnd, pin#7-12v to battery +,checked the CKP crank Position Signal Pin#4 and the CID Cylinder Identification Signal Pin#2 while turning engine over by hand with exhaust spark plugs removed and multimeter went from 12v to 0v back to 12v telling me I had a bad module.

Installed the new ignition module with thermal grease everything was fine until heading home today and the engine just died again a no spark condition, I waited about a half hour for the module to cool and it started thank you God. Either my new ignition module is faulty or there may be a clogged water jacket in the lower intake manifold impeding the ignition modules ability to dissipate heat or possibly another heat related issue any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
