I have a 2002 Ranger Edge and one of the instrument panel lights recently went out. I was wondering what kind of lights are behind there, and how hard are they to replace? The manual doesnt say what size bulbs are in there it just says to have the dealership replace it. Well I called the dealership to ask what size lights are behind there, and the guy said there are a bunch of different lights behind there, and it would be best to have me bring it to them. I thought I would ask you guys before I payed the dealership for something I might be able to do, thanks guys.

hey thanks a lot man, i know i know, i should have tried the search, anyways i read those, and someone said there are 6 194 wedge bulbs and someone else said there are 8, any confirmation on the number?

 

There are six 194's for cluster illumination. There are also other bulbs for the idiot lights but they don't burn out as often.

 

While you're back there, go ahead and replace all of them. Sylvania makes a long life [LL] 194 bulb.
