Hey everybody, im new to the site. I have a 2002 Ranger 4x4 and a have a problem I hope somebody can help me with. The light in the cruise control buttons on the left side of the steering wheel quit working. How do you fix that? Also the switch to turn your headlights on doesnt illuminate anymore either. I dont remember if it ever did or not. lastly a light went out on the middle top of the speedometer at like the 65 mark. I hope you guys can help me out, thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, your headlight switch should be lit day and night when the ignition and/or the lights are on.

Both the headlight bulb and the CC pod bulbs burn out regularly and the tiny bulbs are not available separately at the dealer. If you're good at soldering, here are LED mods to fix that problem:

The cluster has six bulbs in the back and you must remove the cluster to replace them. The number is 194 or 194LL (longer life). This is a bit of a hassle, so it would be smart to replace all six at once with the 194LL's.

guess what, now more lights went out on my dash! now 10-80 is not lit up. hopefully i can get around to tearing the dash apart this weekend. those little thinks irritate me. only 60,000 miles on it.

Fx4Rangerman or whoever knows:
Ive noticed that alot of people crank their torsion bars. What does that do and how do you do it??? sorry, I know more about ATV's than auto's.

Thanks for all of your help i really appreciate it!

I posted links above on how to replace the CC and H/L switch bulbs with LEDs.

Here is an article on removing the cluster. It is not as good as it could be but it will get you started. There are pictures with the article available through the hyperlinks.
