Just thought I would mention I just joined the elite club of those who wonder WTF Ford engineers were thinking when they used an 8mm bolt to hold in the pinion shaft in the rear differential !

No, mine didn't break, I just turned the hex head into a circle head. Unfortunately I don't have any circle sockets!!! 7mm socket and mini sledge to slam it onto the head and finally got it off.

I was so relieved when it moved that little bit.

PS - bearings and seals done!
