^^^ The only reason that not all there products are API certified is because they have higher phosphorous levels than the API allows. Higher phosphorous levels in amsoil products are one of the reasons that they last longer and lubricate better. The only reason the API holds there phosphorous level allowance so low is because some auto manufactures believe that the added phosphorous ruins your cats before 150,000 miles which is the length of time a vehicle must be able to pass a state emissions test. We do not have emissions tests here in Michigan but I can assure you that all of the cats on my vehicles have been fine for hundreds of thousands of miles. If you are worried about your warranty, then yes run the XL but you wont get the maximum benifits of amsoil Unless you run there high performance oil. I have run this in all of my vehicles for years with allot of positive effects and NO negative ones.
Buying amsoil saves you money Bob, so it is not a waste. Doing less oil changes less often is easier on you and your wallet....

Extended OCI's is Scamsoil's line on how they try and justify the inflated price for their products!!! Scamsoil is the only company that that uses this
excuse to justify their high prices, which are do to the ML M structure!!!
Royal Purple, Red Line, or any other company suggests following the manufacturer's suggested OCI!! You may have been sucked into believing Scamsoil's BS, I haven't!!!! The main reason oil is changed is due to dirt, and contamination from the combustion process, and Scamsoil oil is going to get get dirty at the same rate as any other oil!!
Another disadvantage of no API certification, Scamsoil can make changes, and do not have to monitor processes for control, which are also API requirements....Scamsoil can basically ship you anything they please!!

^^^ have it tested, I send mine in everytime and I am not running it too far. It gets changed every 25,000 miles with a filter change every 5K and then a top off. You sir are the one who is suckered into believeing BS. I am not in the mood to argue because I am at work agian going on my 75th hour this week. You believe what you want, I have the proof in my vehicles. You have no hard proof....

I have run my vehicles much further on dino (Castrol GTX in my gasoline vehicles, and Shell Rotella in my 300D diesel) than you have with the Scamsoil garbage!!!!!!
The MLM companies (like Scamsoil) prey on the weak!!!

As I said all of my vehicles have gone over 200+ thousand miles with amsoil and I haven't had a single problem related to oil (water pumps, alternators ext.) If that and the fact that I send it in to get tested everytime isn't enough proof I don't know what is. You run what you want and I will run what I want. But unless you ran it and it caused you problems, don't be telling people on here that its bad....

Very intelligent!! Don't you realize you can change your oil (using an API certified dino) for less than what shipping and a UOA costs???? By doing this, you don't have to worry about the oil being in good shape, your engine will stay cleaner, and you can save $$$$$$!!! I suggest you do the math to see just how much it's costing you running Scamsoil, extended OCI, and doing UOA every 5K miles!!!!
