K&N Differences?

untill recently I thought any of the aftermarket cold air intake kits were the same, but I recently removed a volant intake and installed a k/n fipk intake on my truck. If I didn't witness the results myself, I would have never believed it, the k/n fipk made a drastic differance over the volant. It's a bit quieter and makes a very noticable differance in power. It also has a much cleaner and more sturdy install. I believe the two kits you were asking about are pretty much the same kit, I think the aircharger kit becomes the fipk kit once it passes the CARB approval certain states require. I believe they sell them under the aircharger name stating offroad use only, but once it passes they change it to a fipk kit.

wes, there is only one kit from K&N for the 2004 (unless something has changed recently), it's the 63 series. Once it gets its emmissions certifications for 50 states, the same kit will become an FIPK.
I'm not sure on the aircharger right off the bat. It may be the kit with a chrome tube. I'm not sure.
