Keypad keyless entry parts & install??

This will probably require some of you more experienced, hard core modders to answer, but here goes...

I have basically stripped a 98-ish Explorer to the bone inside & out. During the process, I got 95% of the wiring & almost every wiring connector, relay box, fuse panel, and anything else that would come out, including the number pad on the driver's door.

I have a few feet of wire with the keypad & I have a module from the rear pass side, behind the trim panel that has something like "keyless entry module" printed on it. Sorry, I didn't write down the Ford part numbers.

I don't think I'll be using this for my truck, but I wanted to see if there were any other parts needed to get this working before I post it for sale here... assuming whomever wants it already has power locks.

Thanks for any helpful info here.

Check John Griggs cardomain site. He and I were the first to do it, and I'm pretty sure he did a pretty comprehensive write up there.

From what I've seen the same module in Explorers is the same as the ones in Rangers, as long as it is the Remote Anti-Theft Module not the CSM module (changed in the early 2000's). Part numbers matched to the T. Just doesn't have the Keypad wired to the box. Ranger one's even have a 5 digit default code stamped for the keypad. Pretty much you can take a Ranger, install the explorer keypad, run 8 wires and it will work.
