Icon5 kick panel lamps

Hello all, new member here.
I recently purchased an 04 FX4. My question is, do our vehicles have lamps under the instrument panel on the rt & lt sides? Some call these kick panel lamps or footwell lamps. They illuminate when the door is opened.
Thanks.

My '03 EDGE doesn't... always thought it would be a good idea.

I would think you could find the wire going to the Cab interior light, tap off it and place lighting where ever you wanted it !

I think the interior lights work off of a ground-switched circuit, be careful how you wire them.

Just read your "Thx U" and thought about an alternate switch method.

You could use an "On-On" Switch, using both the auto-0n method with the top light and you could have it set up with an "Manually On" too.

Lights when you open the door and lights when you flip the switch !

Hey Kurt,

How did this go ?

How many LED Lights did you install, where did you mount them, and how did you wire them up ?
