Door lights, dinger?

well i just got my OHC put in, i'll post pictures later when i get my new Nikon D40 !!! hopefully tomorrow.

wasn't there a thread on here on how to wire the 2 lights up to turn on with your interior light also?

i want to do that.

and how do i fix my driverside door, the light doesn't turn on, and it doesn't ding when lights on/key in.

the passenger door turns the light on.

Your courtesy switch is sticking...it is mounted on the latch itself. You can try WD-40 on the outside parts, but I would take the door panel off and really get to the inside parts to spray and operate everything well. Should free up that switch if it's just sticking. It also just kinda twists 1/4 turn and comes out, so you can spray and play with it real good.

You can take the latch itself out (careful disconnecting the plastic rod connectors, they just snap closed) to get a good look as to how the switch fits in. It just kinda goes in the hole and 1/4 turn or so to lock into place. Plug it up before reinstalling the latch, hook up the rods last. Check for proper operation of lock rod and latch before putting panel back on. Spray other door latch as it'll probably need lubing as well. Good luck.
