license plate wireing question

I moved my license plate location and I want to wire up the new light but it is just one light. the stock lights are wired seperatly to where it junctions with the tail light and trailer light wireing harness. did i just not go back far enough to get to where it splices or is each light wired seperatly all the way from the fuse block? is it possilbe to just tie into on of the sets of wires and leave the other one unhooked? any help would be great. thanks

I will upload a pic when i can but im having some problems with it.

I'm pretty sure mine were spliced together along the frame rail.

You could just use one set of the wires & tape the other set off in case you ever need to install another light.

The factory license light wires are definitely spliced together within the harness. Either could be used to power a single license light. Brown hot, black ground.

Thanks Bob! its a like a 5 diode LED light so i think I will just cut one off and tape it up and then connect to the other one.
