quick question, that red nub on the end looks le-ghey, i was wondering if there is any issue with painting it? it seems like a no brainer to me, but the instructions say that that red cap being on or off will make a difference in the SWR...

that SUCKS! i think i'm going to keep a wrench with me so i can pull it off of the mount if i need... i'm sure yours is the same way, but my antenna screws into a 1 inch tall nut, and there is another bolt like object that comes up below, and the mount it's self is between this bolt like object and the nut... so i can unscrew the antenna from the rest of it with no problems

ya i have the same thing....u might want to keep a wrench for the nut and the antenna because sometimes the nut will unscrew instead of the antenna.....i just have crescent wrenches in my toolbox..along with about another 100lbs of tools..lol

lol, my center console had nothing you would normally have in there, it had a 10'x4" tow strap, handheld CB, the antenna for it, charger for it, d-ring receiver, and a few other things, but i forget what... condom... but it's garbage now, we got down to -36 and it was parked outside

dual looks sweet, but the guy i was buying it from was like, don't bother, you will get better performance if you but 1x$60 antenna, vs 2x$30 antennas, plus, they have to be 7.5-8' apart to work properly, apparently... but they do look sweet!

i did, but the mount isn't bolted as well as it should be... i only have 2 bolts in it, so it swings like a m-fer... i'll get some pics if i am awake early enough tomorrow (working till 8am, sleeping till 4ish)

downside though, my SWR is a little high... it's somewhere between 1.00 and 1.05 i would say :D
