Loss of radio sound solved!!!!!

I had the same issue as many posted when I performed a search about losing sound when the truck was put into DRIVE or REVERSE, Well I searched for a possible answer but all that came up was the Neutral safety switch, I took my truck to my local dealer and they found the issue.....it ended up by being the " transmission ranger sensor "

So not sure if this was already posted as a solution but here it is if it hasen't,

ciao for now!

Thanks! Mine had that issue for one day.... only one day. lol It's been fine since! Do you have manual or power locks? The next day, the radio worked fine but as soon as I opened my driver's door it would lock again! Just wondered if yours happened to do the same...

I don't have power locks or power anything at that but I knowfor a fact that the tranny range sensor can affect power windows, power locks and even cruise control. Mind did the radio thing for a day only too but the dealer decided to change the part anyways cause the truck is still under warranty and it's the only part of the truck that causes this fault odly enough another guy was in that same day with the same problem.

hope this helps!

I'll keep it in mind if I start having problems again. Any chance you can get me the part number off your invoice?
