Make fog lights turn on with running lights

Hey just wondering if anyone can help me, I know I read it somewhere a while ago and now I can't find it.... I want to have it so I can run my fog lights with the running lights. It should be simple but I can't figure it out. Is it as simple as switching a couple wires?

In stock form fog's come on with the parking lights.

Im assuming you bought a used truck someone else has worked on.

You need to find out what was done.

I wish I could do this too. Even just lurker mode id be happy with. I tried to remove the fuse for DRL and it took my highbeams, and I think my blinkers too.

I don't think so. I remember when I joined I asked someone in ont. they told me hold, I did it and all the above happened. I hope it's not like the dodges when it burns out.... My dynasty's DRL went and killed my battery since it left the lights on. I pulled it and lost my HB indicator. I had to guess..

1998 models with factory fog lamps will only work with the headlamps on low beam. If you want them to work in conjunction with the park lamps and headlamps (including high beam) you’ll need to modify the fog lamp relay wiring at the PDB. This can be done by locating the relays socket #1 terminal (Dark Green with Light Green stripe wire). Cut this wire under the PDB and splicing the end coming from the PDB (relay socket side) into one of the park lamp feed wires (Brown wire). The other end of the Dark Green with Light Green stripe should be insulated (taped) and secured.

1999 and newer added a Fog Lamp Isolation Relay in conjunction with the Fog Lamp Relay and changed the relay control circuit from the low beams to the park lamps. The Fog Lamp Isolation Relay is used to cut off the fog lamps with the high beams on.

I'm with Pedro, I was damn sure you had to bend a pin on a relay and it worked.

EDIT:

previous owner must have made the changes on my old green 98. they worked with just the parking lamps on.

It was a common Mod.

I believe on 1999 thru 2003 models you could bend the Fog Lamp Isolation Relay control leg off to the side and re-install it allowing the fog lamps to stay on with high beams (aka fog light Mod).

Rev gets it for the win again.

I knew it was something along those lines.

Ok, I read the DIY. Are relays and relay harnesses generic or do I need exactly what is in that "how to:"
