Making Manual doors Automatic

Hello ranger forum users. Names Brandon and I have a question. I've been playing with my new girl a 1999 ford ranger. Still a work in progress but coming along pretty smooth. My latest project is the locks. When I bought it the truck came with a Viper alarm, but The remote only turns off and on the alarm. The doors are manual locks so I assume I need to add some regulators from another ranger or explorer. After cruising the internet I see a lot of different answers that didn't really help me. What would be the parts I need to make the door locks able to unlock when I disable the alarm without switching alarms or fabricating a temporary solution that I'll have to remove later. Thanks in advance for any response appreciate the time to look at this

Welcome to the forum

Nice looking Ranger

1999 Rangers with V6 engines had Fords PATS(passive anti-theft system) which is not an alarm and has no connection with alarm or Factory Keyless entry systems.
PATS disables fuel and sometimes starter motor if correct PATS key is not used in ignition.
It is HIGHLY recommend that you have at least TWO working PATS key at ALL TIMES, because it gets very expensive if you lose your ONE working PATS key
So just a heads up on that.
(4 cyl Rangers didn't have PATS)

Not sure on Viper alarm models, you will need to check if your current model has Door lock/unlock hook up available, and Fob(remote) with those buttons.
Some Viper alarms were also wired for starter motor cut off, disabled starter if active, same as some PATS versions.
Viper is a 3rd party alarm so there is no "standard" for wiring, it was installers choice on how it was wired into your system.

Rangers used a RAP(Remote Anti-Theft Personality) module for keyless entry, if you do not have power door lock then you will not have this or the wiring for it, so adding 3rd party power door locks would be best bet.
Again check Viper model to see if it will work with 3rd party door locks, your "Arm"/Disarm" remote might work for this.
