Miss fire cylinder 2

So the last few weeks my truck has been running funny and I didn't know what it was. Well today the check engine light came on so I took it over to Auto Zone and they said its a miss fire on cylinder #2. I know this can be caused by either the injector or the plug and was wondering if any one knows how to test the injector to tell if it missing or not and if any one may have a set 6 plugs that I can buy or trade for?

Thanks for your help guys

I'd pull the plug and take a look see first. If in doubt replace it. You might also try replacing the plug wire to eliminate it as a potential problem before looking at the injector.

well matt and I looked at it tonight and we pulled the plug and replaced it and the check engine light was still on then we pulled the injector wire off and the light went out? It has not come back on yet but if and when it does I'll run by auto zone and check it out again and see what needs to be replaced. I'll keep ya'll posted on whats going on with it as soon as I know

Crank engine and Pull plug.

If wet = no spark = bad plug, wire or coil pack

If not wet = no fuel = bad injector

Not always the case, but just sharing what I've come across.

the plug was clean but had a white coating on it that didn't come off. I unplugged the injector wire while it was running and the Check Engine Light went out but did not come back on when I plugged it back in and has been off since last night. Any ideas? Or if any one has the tools to test the injector can you bring them on Friday please?
