Was workin on my cuz's 1993 Ranger Splash reg cag tonight and found something behind the drivers seat. it was behind a blue plastic cover held down with 2 12MM bolts, factory plastic. i thought it may be a factory amp?

 

When I get a moment, I'll bring up my 1993 Ford truck service CD and see what that is.

 

does he have premium sound stock? or also does it have 4x4?

 

i got my answer, its the 4wd control module for electric transfer cases...weird ****** place for it. :-/

 

thats why i asked if it was a 4x4 becuase thats where they put the control box on reg cabs

 

Good! I didn't know that either. On extended cabs they are behind the passenger side footwell side panel (kick panel).

 

yeah that damn thing ruined my plans for placing my cross overs in the kick panels in my ext. cab! i never thought about what it might be.. was just pissed to find it back there and moved on.
