Same problem, different guy

Ron, I notice you're somewhat of a guru so I'm going to ask all the same question as this guy, but my truck is the 2.3 5 speed. New Pump, bypassed the inertia switch, pump works when using the eec port to power. I have sprayed starting fluid into intake and it ran until that burned off. Just no 2 second prime when key is turned on. Relays all test out good and all fuses seem to be good. Relay does click with key turn. Don't own a volt meter but have a test light. Any help?

You should start your own thread, and what YEAR Ranger?

Does the CEL(check engine) light come on when you turn on the key, it should?
CEL coming on means the Computer is powering up
no CEL = no computer = no fuel pump or fuel injectors, but spark still works

no CEL = no computer = no fuel pump or fuel injectors, but spark still works on 1994 and earlier
