I am looking to build a late model[ 1997 up] ranger [ 2 wheel drive]. I want to install 5.0 FI . does any one make a complete conversion kit or is it cheaper to buy parts one at a time?

They do make conversion kits and they're called Explorers.

ohart,
I too would like a kit for this but from what I have read it is not available.
Hey Bob, how about a Kit, a good way to make some money… maybe a turbo kit on the side too.

I have an ’03 and want to V-8 it but it will not be for a while because of the Parts Collections.
I read on this site what others have done, go get a part or two and start reading more, long process.
If there was at least a mounting kit, i.e. engine mounts, headers, oil relocation kit and any other parts needed or had to be modified that would be a great help.

If you get a 1997 or earleir Ranger there are semi kits for them but not the newer or should I say not that I know of.

Good Luck on your hunt and PLEASE post any info you happen to find.
In the "V-8 Forum" of this Site there is a lot of info, read some of it… V-8 Tech - Ford Ranger Forum
