Newbie needs help

Ok, I was out rock crawlin my 2x4 and afterward my alarm didn't work when I hit the clicker. Now I've had to put a new battery in my truck and the alarm alerts when I connect it. Since my clicker won't turn it off and I don't want to be driving down the road with it makin all that racket, what do I look for to disconnect it?

The skinny:

2001 Ranger 2x4 super cab 3.0 manual 5 speed. Excalibur alarm.

If aftermarket Alarm, locate the controller and pull the main power wire, MAYBE, after a few minutes you will be able to plug it back in.

Chances are that when the power is removed from the controller box it will default back to the original programming and stop the beeping.

Luck,
