No Functioning Taillights

Hey y’all I’m new here and have a question about my ranger. I have a 2001 Ranger with a 4.0L V6 Off-road Package. I recently got a fix it ticket because my tail lights are not functioning but my brake lights and turn signals are working as they should. I was wondering what could be the issue with this, blown fuse, bad bulbs etc. To add on to this, both tail lights are not functioning. If y’all could help out that would be great I have until 11PM eastern time to get this fixed up. Thank you in advance

Does your dash light up? The tail light fuse also powers the dash lights.

BigEdge126 is probably right. The bulbs are dual filament. Meaning they have two separate filaments, one for running lights, and the other, much brighter, for the turn/brake. Its rare for both to go at the same time. Remember to check all vehicle lights at least once a month.

My father and I did some tinkering around last night. Replaced the bulbs, checked the fuses for continuity and nothing worked so we are thinking it’s a wiring issue. Due to the short time I have to get it fixed I’m bringing it to a shop today. Thanks for ya guys help!
