No Start.

Sorry guys I come when i need help... but its the best around.

Went for a quick errand today. My 96 Ranger wouldnt start. First ever for me and Ive had this truck a long time. So it started, I drove it .5 mi., bought some smokes and got back in it and it wouldnt start. Only one click, doors lock, but... no start. Battery seems good. A jump didnt help. So am I looking at a starter? Selanoid? Connections? Tapping on the starter didnt help.
Please help.
Ryan

In case anyone searches in the future.
After poking around I noticed the the lead wire from the terminal on the solenoid to the starter motor was rusty. It actually crumbled with I literally poked it. Removed the starter hoping I could rewire but took the easier (and probably smarter) route and replaced the starter.
