Is noise coming from relay normal?

Hey guys, I am hooking up my hella lights and I am not tying into the headlight, rather running them directly to the switch. I hooked everything up and just plugged everything into the switch but I did not put the switch in the cab yet, I just plugged everything in under the hood first, holding the switch in my hand to see if it would work. When I made the connection to the battery, I would hear a noise coming from the relay..I assume this is just the noise of electricity or power going to the relay? This only happens for a second thens stops. It happens each time you turn on the lights. My question is: is this normal?

great..thank you. Also, if i do have something hooked up incorrectly, I should blow an inline fuse preventing any further damage...correct?

Generally a relay will make noise when switching on/off. It should sound like a click, nothing more.
