non-tilt to tilt conversion
non-tilt to tilt conversion
i am new to rangers, just got my first one. 1994 Ranger XLT 4.0L 4x4 single cab. 26k original miles, was kept at a cabin and driven on the weekends and hardly ever in the winter. The cab is a bit smaller than my 2000 single cab S-10, so id like to try and at least add tilt steering if possible. I've researched it a little and looks like anytime these had tilt steering they also had cruise control, which makes the connector to hook up the horn different? My questions before I buy a tilt steering column. Is it possible for me to just take the wiring connectors apart and make the horn hookup and leave the cruise control buttons dead? Will i need different trim plastic for the interior? Most older columns I find have crappy steering wheels and my steering wheel is nice being such low miles. Is it possible to put my steering wheel on a tilt column? Thanks for any help or advice!
