Not a Mechanic

I am not extremely knowledgeable on this stuff, but willing to learn more; I have either one big electrical issue or or several small mechanical" problems, that I cannot pinpoint.

94 Ranger XLT
OBD1 CODES = 118, 565

Not sure if it'd be better if I should Define those codes or not, Simply cts issue, evap solenoid..

Symptoms
Gas gauge is radical, temp gauge barely moves ( I only make short trips)
It acts like it's not getting fuel or maybe too much. Slow to accelerate, too much will kill it.
Then sputters the whole time.
CEL goes off and on.

NEW

Temp sensors
Idle air
Plugs and wires
Fuel pump, three yrs old but not a lot of miles
Fuel filter a couple months ago and pcv changed around 6 months ago

I filled the tank but that didn't unstick the float if that's even a problem
I have no electrical experience other than wired a few things on it lol. Do not know how to use a meter.

It goes but just ruins chitty. Please help.

From your description it sounds as if your not getting enough fuel, possibly clogged fuel hose/line.
It's also possible that the fuel pressure regulator is bad.
Try putting a fuel pressure gauge in before or after the regulator, to see what the pressure is.

In modern cars all the electronics go out of their mind if the battery is a volt low, would check the battery at wallmart, chean the terminals and then after replacing the battery, drive it for a day so it will learn your driving style. See if that fixaes everything,

That is possible, it could also be the alternator overvolting the battery. Nice catch. You could also take it to O'Reilly's and they should be able to check your battery for free as long as you get someone who knows what they are doing.

AutoZone doesn't charge anything and they are super friendly. I have a new battery and have tested the alternator. It's not getting enough fuel on acceleration. Engine light goes off/on intermittently. Temp gauge has not been working for awhile and I have changed both sensors, the code I'm getting indicates one of these. Can I bypass the canister purge valve? It doesn't have much of an exhaust. Someone stole the cats a year or so ago. I've still got to get under and check for fuel line issues. Would the mass air flow cause slow acceleration? Not sure which way to go!!!

On the subject of your exhaust, do you know if your O2 sensors are still intact and working.?

If there are no o2's that very well could be your problem.
