Icon4 Now What ???

You guys were Great on helping me with the info. on the O2 Sensors on my '98 ....... It took me quite a while to get All 3 changed, that one on the drivers side was a Beast !!!! But, ..... finally got all 3 done, But ,it still runs 'ruff, and when i go up-hill-ish or too much gas the "check engine light" blinks and then goes away, does not stay on.
I have a stupid SMOG test for registration coming up quick !!! ..... I gotta fix it or get it fixed Soon !!!! I also would like to know if there are any reputable/honest Ford mechs in my area 95838 Sacto. you can suggest, i mean one with a business that is fair & has a warranty.

Thanks a lot for any help,
~tb

CEL flashes when there is a hard misfire happening at that time, it means "back off the gas pedal" or engine damage can occur

You need to read the codes, if you don't have an OBD2 reader then get a Bluetooth OBD2 reader, under $20, and works on ANY VEHICLE 1996 and newer, not a Ford thing, ANY VEHICLE sold in the US/Canada 1996 and later was required by law to use the OBD2 standard
These are a great tool to have if you plan on driving any vehicles over the next few years or decades
Not hard to learn how they work or what to look at

It could as simple as a failing spark plug or spark plug wire
Could be as bad as a burnt exhaust valve, heads need to come off and be repaired or replaced
So there is a wide range of possible causes

No, I don't know any shops in your area
Mobile Mechanics come to your location, and are less expensive than Shops, they don't have overhead costs of rent and other employees
But they are "mobile" so harder to track down if something goes wrong, lol
