Off-road lights

Off-road lights

Alright i got some offroad lights not sure the brand b/c they came off my dads jeep and i cant really find anything to identify them but i am gonna mount them behind my grille.. here is the question.. Are they gonna get too hot and melt the plastic on my grille.. really dont want that to happen.

Well i put them anyway. and how they are mounted the dont get the plastic hot at all.. they really dont put out too much heat.. for the period of time they will be run anyway.. they are not full time lights. just offroad, backroads, or parkin lot showin off.. not down the highway...Name:  Picture.jpg

haha.. me too... they arent touching the grille so i think they should be fine.. within 2 inches the heat dissipates so it should be fine..

I need to find some one who's done this that has a tranny cooler. I haven't even looked at how it's mounted, but the tranny cooler needs to be relocated in order for me to put my lights behind the grill. some one help!

I mounted mine on the top side of the grill (above my trany cooler and they fit fine)

That is my intention, invert the mounting of the lights. However, I have the full size 6" off road lights. I didn't exactally test fit, but i know they hang down far enough that they will cover the trany cooler. Can you post pics of how yours look?

buy yourself a brushguard or a grill guard and your problem will be solved, also adds extra style and protection for your truck

good idea, that's why i already have one. I want lights behind my grill as well.
