OHC display color change
When I bought my OHC I was told the filter on it was the blue filter. I'm not questioning his truthfullness, but I'm wondering if anyone here has modded the display for a different color.
My console has the blue filter but I want the display to look more blue
This is what my display looks like **Not my console**

It's not quite the blue I have in the rest of my truck
So I'll probably get made fun of or whatever. I don't care. I like things to match

i ran into this same thing when i put mine in. the blue isn't blue. it's a green with a blue tint. i even went as far as painting the lcd screen with some clear blue model paint. didn't help one bit. i bought some extra blue filters, but i don't think they are going to do much more either.
why is my name always thrown around when it comes to changing colors.
its kind of funny actually.
You can use a different LCD display. You need to do some research here and understand which pins drive which values. This is controlled by a microchip.
This is a big task, but not un-doable.
I think this works in the reverse way as the 04 and up odometers (which you can change backlighting color on)
I suppose if someone had one they wanted to donate to me I could open it up and look.
Wirelessly posted (Android)
I can find out when I get home in about a hour. For some reason I'm thinking its white.
