Overdrive light blinking on and off after...
My Ranger 1995 splash 3.0L V6 was in my garage for 2 weeks the Ignition switch Lock Cylinder was damage .,The new one arrive and is supposed to be easy to replace just pull a pin and done but was not may case i stay about ten minutes trying to remove the cylinder lock so i remove the mask cover to see what's happening, why is stock . After a lot of trying lastly i remove the damage cylinder i put the new one but i don't know why i see in the dash the overdrive on/off light blinking. I just want to know if this problem is related with the new cylinder lock or just a coincidence? , a problem with my Ranger transmission.
....And it happens immediately, once i turn on the Ranger.,not running
any suggestion?

It may be possible that you broke the wire leading to the overdrive off/switch while fumbling with the ignition lock cylinder. I would look into that first as I have seen a few of them break, but can't say whether they caused the O/D Off light to blink. If you find that the wire is okay, then you will need to run the truck by a mechanic shop that has a higher level scanner as the basic code readers used at parts stores generally can't access the transmission codes on our trucks. Whenever the O/D Off light blinks, a code is stored, and that will help better identify where the issue is.
Thank for the information ,right now i run my pickup and i think is the transmission i fell that is not responding as strong as always and it is weak going up hills i put a Bafx bluetooth scanner and gave me a code P0743 (Torque converter clutch)...Uffff☹
