Part Compatibility Check.. Help please! =)

Ok so i just bought a used 97 ranger and the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel were broken off. The dealership said if i got some new ones they would install them for me for free. So I came across this on ebay: Cruise control ebay link. In the auction it lists 98-2003 rangers as fitting, but im thinking that the 97 is the same. They look identical. Just wondering if someone more knowledgeable than myself could explain to me if these will work. Thanks guys.

should be the same. same steering wheel, should be same cruise control pods. Are you sure you have cruise? Non-Cruise wheels vs. Cruise wheels are different.

yeah as of right now the cruise control panels are still on my steering wheel, its just that theyre all cracked up and missing buttons and one is detached from the wheel and hanging by the wires. Im just hoping these will work since theyre really the only solution ive found.

ok thanks for your input! Any reason why they would not list 97 as the year in the auction? I tried emailing them but they havent gotten back to me yet. Is there an online part number database or something i can run the number through? I just dont want to buy it and then be out 40 bucks when it doesnt work blah.
