I'm thinking about swapping out the front seats on my 2008 Ranger extended cab and trying to find a seat that would simply bolt into the existing bolt locations. I found the following website that is useful regarding part numbers and crossover numbers. i.e.: Ranger to Explorer & etc.

Other than that think Rangers, Explorers, Mountaineers for bolt in setups.

A nice set of Explorer Powered Leather Seats would work nicely, you can add heat easliy with after market heaters. These come in Dk Gray, Lt Gray and Tan.

Explorer Sport Buckets, are cloth, have the Driver’s Seat Powered but not the Passenger’s Seat but they are nice Seats, keep you in place. They come in two levers of Grey, no black that I have found.

There are a few Ranger that come with bucket seats, cloth, but no power, no heat, no leather except for one year around 03 an FX4, LvL II, try an find those.
When looking for Ranger Seats look for the same cab configuation and they should bolt in, if the cab is different, look to see if the Seat Tracks can be removed, that might help aking them fit.

Not sure what you are lookng for but there is a bunch of options out there.

Sorry about that. The correct website for all years is www.fordpartswebsite.com. The years go as far back as 1979.

I picked up some seats for an '03 Explorer. They are in excellent shape. The car had 20K on the clock when the seats were pulled out and they look new. They are power seats. (I think that they have heat as well but I won't know until I take a look at a wiring diagram.) They are tan. I also have the 'pig tails' that should allow me to wire them into the Ranger.

At first glance I don't think that they'll fit the '08 Ranger without a whole lot of modification. It'll take me a few days to really think the swap over. (I don't want to butcher up either the new seats or the old ones to 'make' them fit.)

If I don't use them I'll sell them for what I paid: $300.00. To be picked up in New Milford, CT. I'll keep you all posted.

 

Unless the cabs between 03 and 08 have changed a lot, I think not, they should bolt in with minor rework.
The mounting holes may need to be opened up slightly.

I have a similar problem. My 1995 ranger 4x4 xlt was ordered originally with optional sport bucket seats that I understood, at the time, were actually Ford Explorer seats. They were very nice. The driver seat lifted up and down as well as forward and back. They also tilted and have air bags built in for lumbar support and that squeeze the sides of your legs. The front of the seat has a pullout feature to adjust to the back of your knees. Very cool seats, but after 25 years, the lock mechanism that allows recline and forward tilt for back seat access is broken and the seat padding and cover has broken down. I wanted to shop around to see if I could find replacements in a little better shape than mine. It would be much easier to shop for if I had the OEM part number for these cool seats but cannot find it anywhere. Anyone know what p/n this seat assembly is? Thanks!
