playing card in spokes sound when fan is on

thats about how it sounds. where i live we have pine needles, i think one of them nanaged to get inside my truck under the hood and found its way to the climate control fan. i removed the glove box and can see the fan moving but dotn see anything in it. can i remove it from the engine compartment? if so how and what do i need to do to do it?

You can try switching the fan from off to high to see if you can get them to move out.

Theres three bolts hold the fan in from under the hood. You may need to remove your cruise servo and possible the washer solvent /coolant reservoir. While you have it out clean any debris out, flush it, then use a disinfectant to get that funky ac smell out.

I suggest using a magnetic socket or have a pick up magnet near by. I dropped the bolt down on the inner fender, a real PITA to get out.

Yea, just pull the fan and clean it out. Pretty common, no big deal.

well got out lot of pine needles and couple of leaves. managed to crack the fan now its out of balance making racket. anyone know the part number for the fan.
ford makes it near impossible to remove it without removing about 4 harnesses and couple brackets...should have removed the windshield washer and overflow resv.
