Power distrubution box

I am having a little bit of a problem. I ordered a new starter solenoid, and it came in today, while i was installing the solenoid I tightened one of the nuts a little too much and snapped a prong off the starter solenoid. In the process of trying to get the nut off the prong which had half of the positive battery connection and what I assume is the ground wire for the fuse panel under the hood, both the connectors broke, the battery cable broke at the metal piece that attaches to the starter solenoid and the ground wire broke at the fuse box, basically where it connects into the fuse box. My question is, is there any way to possibly rig up a new ground wire for the fuse box or do I have to try and find a whole new power distribution box that has the ground connected. The ranger itself is a, 1989 2.9L v6.
