Power Window/Lock conversion

Well I have removed all this stuff to sell to a member on here, and I want to make sure I've got what will be needed for Power Windows, Power locks, and keyless entry.

The parts are coming out of a 2001 XLT 4x4 and going into a 2003 XLT.

-Door panels
-Door handles and switches
-lock solenoids
-window motors
-door wire harnesses (connect from windows/locks/mirrors to under dash wire harness)
-CSM
-GEM

Is there anything else needed for the conversion? Thanks!

GEM is short for general electronics module.

There are also two relays associated with the power windows located in Auxiliary Relay Box #1. It is under the dash just to the right of the steering column and might be something like 6" long and 1 1/2" square but that's just a rough guess. It would probably be good to include the whole ARB1 in case it doesn't exist on the other truck.

What would I need to install power windows and door locks on my truck then? I don't have a GEM...

At least for the years I am familiar with (97-01) the power windows and locks are mostly independent of everything else...except for the driver side auto down feature which the GEM helps out with. If you just want functional locks and windows, you can always make them work with just the switches, actuators, and a few relays. Keyless entry will complicate things a little more. I'm in the process of adding power windows, locks and keyless entry to my 97. It's pretty straight forward. I just needed new switch bezels for the doors, window motors/regulators, lock actuators, and the alarm/keyless entry module out of an explorer. I am already switching out the GEM and relay boxes for other reasons.

You have a GEM...it just may need to be swapped for one from a truck with those features. I don't know for sure how things may be different on an 05, but some switches and relays will always make it work.

Do you have a picture of what that might look like?
