Powered Mirror Wiring Color Code
Powered Mirror Wiring Color Code
I am installing my '06 Powered Mirror's wiring... guess what the new connectors, from Rock Auto, are not color coded.
Not a biggy... right !
I can connect a label to each wire on the new connector, that would help when I get past manually moving the mirrors around but I was hoping someone (Ron) could tell me which color wire is doing what.
The Mirrors, I believe are '06's, yes they are powered, I have added Directional Mirror Glass, and the glass came with heaters... not needed in SoCal but they are what they are.
I am doing wire extensions today and pulling the mirrors back-off to connect the new wiring connector and should have that done soon and then to determine the where to run the wire, thinking to attach the wires under the driver's seat. Il be using the same wires that I used for the Cargo Light Conversion to Directionals, should work. The heater will need a power wire, maybe from the battery... not sure yet, need to determine the amperage requirement.
I'm thinking a turn indicator mounted in the side of the mirror housing or maybe near the end of the bumper to make a side directional light, still thinking on it, may not happen.
Then there is the puddle lights mounted in the bottom of the door near the lock end, not really needed but just a quick wiring job since the doors will already be apart.
OK, enough talk, if anyone has a diagram of and the color codes for the Powered Mirrors please post or a link would do to.
Let me be one of the first to say, "Merry Christmas" and remember this is the day we celebrate as our Lord Jesus's Birth.
