quick q

is the dome light, wipers, speedometer, 3rd brake light connected all in anyway.

searched didnt find much

third brake light bulbs burn out all the damn time. check that.

check all your fuses.


1st and 2nd steps are RIGHT next to eachother...check bulbs and check fuses....

heres the problem that my 3rd brake light and dome light do not work and i checked all the fuses and the dome light dosent even have power to it nor the 3rd. i know that the 3rd and dome are dirrectly connected togetther with power and i traced the wire to the drivers seat and went out through the bottom of the truck correct me if im wrong and them i couldnt tell where it went. i dont get it

Man, sure sounds like a blown fuse... are you sure you checked them all?

What year Ranger? I know that in '98 the wipers, dome light and speedometer are tied together in the GEM. I think it's (Generic Something Something) I can't remember the name. Again, on the '98 there are two grounds for it I am told. One just to the left of the radiator and one on the left fender about half way back to the firewall. Yours might be similar. That stuff on mine will not work with out the engine running and that seems to be the general opinion of what it might be.

yea its an 2002. maybe. the generic electronic module
