Ranger AC from vents

I have seen on here alot of people who have this problem and that i need to check the "ball" under the hood. I just need to find out the location on a 1999 ranger xlt 2.5l manual.

You'll also want to inspect the condition of the vacuum lines to and from the reservoir and under the dash.

Just to throw a curve ball at ya, on a 93 2.3, the "sphere" is torpedo shaped and mounted on top of the blower plenum.

In case you can't find the ball.
